Marketing rule number One

I share marketing experience and truths to help others everyday . I draw from my own personal experiences and the experience of mentors and friends. Some people market to a specific group of people and market a unique product or service. So what works for some may not work for you.So the research begins and choices made on how to proceed. One thing is true throughout and that is there are truths in life that transcend. Yes even in marketing.

There is an interesting story in the bible that I would like to share with readers. It has been a source of encouragement and so I hope to make a point that I hope will inspire you.Its the story of the four lepers in front of the city they lived in. Let me rephrase that, the city they were from because lepers were not allowed in the city, they were to stay outside the city and as people passed by they were to announce that they were unclean so that no one would catch their disease. Begging for food was their only means of survival or depending on the generosity of the people. And speaking of generosity thank you for stopping by to visit us. http://Joeygee007.info <= my shameless plug

If I have the background right it was a turbulent time and a time when one city or camp would battle with the other for what ever reason. And there was a famine in the land were the lepers were from.

Elisha Promises Food

1 Then Elisha said, “Listen to the word of the LORD; thus says the LORD, ‘Tomorrow about this time a measure of fine flour will be sold for a shekel, and two measures of barley for a shekel, in the gate of Samaria.’” 2 The royal officer on whose hand the king was leaning answered the man of God and said, “Behold, if the LORD should make windows in heaven, could this thing be?” Then he said, “Behold, you will see it with your own eyes, but you will not eat of it.”

Four Lepers Relate Arameans’ Flight

3 Now there were four leprous men at the entrance of the gate; and they said to one another, “Why do we sit here until we die? 4 “If we say, ‘We will enter the city,’ then the famine is in the city and we will die there; and if we sit here, we die also. Now therefore come, and let us go over to the camp of the Arameans. If they spare us, we will live; and if they kill us, we will but die.”

5 They arose at twilight to go to the camp of the Arameans; when they came to the outskirts of the camp of the Arameans, behold, there was no one there.

6 For the Lord had caused the army of the Arameans to hear a sound of chariots and a sound of horses, even the sound of a great army, so that they said to one another, “Behold, the king of Israel has hired against us the kings of the Hittites and the kings of the Egyptians, to come upon us.”

7 Therefore they arose and fled in the twilight, and left their tents and their horses and their donkeys, even the camp just as it was, and fled for their life.

8 When these lepers came to the outskirts of the camp, they entered one tent and ate and drank, and carried from there silver and gold and clothes, and went and hid them; and they returned and entered another tent and carried from there also, and went and hid them.

9 Then they said to one another, “We are not doing right. This day is a day of good news, but we are keeping silent; if we wait until morning light, punishment will overtake us. Now therefore come, let us go and tell the king’s household.”

Let me point out a few things I see that can be of encouragement to those who in these turbulent times are struggling. First thing is that as the lepers concluded, we have to do something different , doing the same old things yield the same results and thinking the results would be different doing the same exact thing is crazy or foolish at best.

The next thing I recognize is even if we have to go into another camp (something strange or unfamiliar to us) we stand an equal chance at worst and better chance at best of surviving or improving our situation.

The third thing I believe that is of value is that the lepers knew to go back and report the situation to others. I am sure they were compensated. Cause givers never kick and kickers never give. They could have been greedy but the chose to share a good thing and as a result they were able to help others around them and most of the others around them would later help them. That is how the strong survive.

So I connected a few dots for you. If you are struggling with getting more traffic or content venture out look at new concepts ,strategies and ideas. Don't get suck on the old, it can be paralyzing and will keep you from doing start things today that eventually turn into great things tomorrow. Rinse and repeat that and you are on your way buddy.

Now don't be mad at me for using a story out of the bible, I might use a song or better yet a politician to make a point tomorrow. Don't get hung up on stuff like that. What I want you to take away from this is very simple and basic, being successful is a huge undertaking so its the small sure steps day by day moment by moment that build a solid foundation and gives you depth.

Too many people have chosen the road of deception, want to impress others they fabricate stories and fudge numbers. They make themselves wide but not deep.

Got out take a chance and help someone else along the way. It's called loving people. If you love people and build it they will come.So long as you get up early go to bed late and bust your rump in between.

As usual, the immeasurable wisdom of joeygee007 is shared. Wonderful as usual.

I love the story you used personally. Especially the "realization of insanity" that the leper had. If we keep doing the same thing over and over, expecting a different result, nothing's gonna change.

I tried making my own business years ago, but I couldn't cut it, I can only imagine how it is you got yours to go so well.

Speaking of which, your website, http://www.fuegoherbalincense.com is absolutely amazing. Love the info you provide, and the products are amazing.

That website shows exactly what you were talking about in your post. I can see the care and work put into it, and that in my opinion is what really sets the men from the boys online.

Keep up the great work!
