Marketing online Blog

Are you marketing online with blogs? Do you have one? Are you promoting it on social networking websites. If you don't have a blog... consider writing one.For the sake of this discussion I will make some general statements. If I need to,I will clarify any misconceptions in future articles.

You might have a website,a squeeze page,or you might be interested in branding yourself or a product. Maybe you have affiliate products you want to sell. How do you generate traffic to it. That is the questions everyone needs answered. I have some general information that will answer that for you.It's a numbers game for sure but the basics have to be learned and applied.

The more people you pitch the more you increase your chances of making that sale. The process has to be refined.You have to structure a plan in phases.each phase has it's unique variables. The dynamics of a sale is only one part.Trust me it can get involved.Knowing how to sell is an art form.Some people can sell you and you are so wanting to give them your money while others have something to sell and make the process not as pleasurable to put it nicely, and you dread giving them a nickle. But the truth is no traffic - no sale.

One of the reasons you have a blog is to share your thoughts, views, and opinions on a given topic, issue, or subject. One of the benefits of writing a blog is to connect with people who for what ever reason has an interest in the subject matter and obviously a prospect for you.Once they read your blog they will determine the value of what you have to say. So a blog should establish you as a source of good information at the very least. It should also establish trust between you and your reader. It always begs the question where do we go from here (and you better have an answer).

I wanted to show you an example so I started a blog that will be changed frequently over the next week or two. It will be worth your while to follow it it every other day so you can see the subtle changes. This will give us opportunities to have Q&A sessions as we go in bite size pieces easy to digest and implement.

I started a blog using word press.org . Because I have never used this before there is a learning curve. I know precisely where I want to take you. Someone else might not let you see all the transitions,life is to short, I don't mind letting you see the flaws and mistakes I am making using a template I am unfamiliar with. I will try to keep it light.

The blog is only one tool we will be using.Before I get knee deep into the blogging aspect let me just say that it's all about driving traffic to your sites. You will hear about meta tags usage,Types of keywords,where and when to use them,and later how to do keyword searches. I want to talk to you about links and correct linking structures,strong and weak links.

We have to understand on site SEO and off site SEO strategies and different marketing techniques such as social media,Q&A sites viral marketing,plus and minuses of directory submission,blogging of course and good ole press releases and marketing using articles. We will go into a little about leveraging content,pros and cons of article spinning to mention a few things that go into building traffic.I want you to know what RSS feeds are and how they help you.

So that is some of what we will touch on. I have created some examples to show you - what not to do as well as some - example of what to do and how to do it.

I am guessing I have about 400 words vested here so far. You want to keep it between 400 to 600 words or so. This isn't a blog or an article. I just want you to know where we are headed and let you know that it's ok to ask questions. Here is a list of tools i would like you to have down loaded into your computer in a file.

Your blogs are a piece of you and what you have a passion for.The person reading it now has the option of subscribing to your blog and / or sharing it. So basically speaking, a blog or article will eventually make its way to interested parties.

With a little effort you can set things up correctly. It pays to do the home work and develop a check list of things to have in all your blogs and a plan in place to market it. Blogs aren't something that can be set on auto pilot per say. It work and it's effective.This is my first time using this format and template so we are going to be taking some chances here, don't sweat the small stuff.

Blogs are great, search engines have an obligation to rank the valued of your information in their search engines. Doing it right can get you ranked high and that translates into traffic. So we will put blogs together, learn some on and off site SEO stuff, and off to the market we go.

People don't care what you know until they know you care. Anyone who reads me knows that's one of my signature phrases. Those who know me personally, know it's a way of life for me.

ps at 7:04 I tweeted this and I had 1,672 followers and 26 page view of this blog before I rewrote the blog and tweeted it. Its 12/09/2009. i used a great little tool. Lets see where we go with 7 tweets. The ranking on hub page was a 69 at the time.
